Great choice of cars, Great value for money

Highly recommend dealing with Allan at this branch. He is excellent, goes the extra mile every time no matter what and is the reason I rent from Sixt now! Sixt needs to update and rethink its app because everything is great except the vehicle classes very very rarely actually match the vehicle. Sixt needs to be more honest about vehicle classes as it puts the employees in a awkward position also. For example I’m on my 4th or 5th rental now and originally (and stupidly) booked on the app a seat Leon, Vauxhall Astra, Volvo v40 or similar for a week. I was called on the morning of my rental asking if I’d be happy with the car that was apparently one of the two cars in that class now (a Renault Captur) they had for me. (Nothing like a Leon, Astra, or V40). As they know me and knew I wouldn’t be happy with it as I rent for pleasure most of the time i was glad they did call. The other car available in that class was a Vauxhall crossover and I fail to see at all how these are similar to what I booked. There was no alternatives available. Thankfully the employee that rang me and is dealing with my rental got me a really nice specced out Audi A3 s line down to the branch in time for my pick up! Thanks to him!! I had to pay an extra £110 odd but well worth it to not have to drive something I’d never want to drive. In my life. The employees are great at Sixt and try to get you the best always, just the booking system that is a let down!

We couldn't have moved house so last minute without them .

Plus we owe Sixt a big apology as our previous review was much worse - owing to my husband not checking his facts and leading me to believe that the company had taken a £200 deposit and not returned it.... turns out that the deposit had never been taken in the first place!!

So I am keen to post this much more accurate reflection of our experience.

The van we hired was the least inexpensive by far compared to other hire companies and was perfect for our last minute house move.

The staff were friendly and helpful, even when we were accusing them of having not returned our deposit. they were also prompt at replying to our emails.

The only other thing I'd say to Sixt -which isn't a criticism of them - is to ensure customers are clear that Sixt don't actually take a cash deposit - just the card details in the event of damages. My husband was convinced they'd taken the £200 deposit - but clearly hadn't checked his bank account...So I'm not saying anymore about him!!!

Just wanted to say thank you once again to Sixt for your great service and patience with us - the customers who got it so very wrong!!
